Valentine's Day

How did you celebrate Valentine's Day? We made "Moo", exchanged cards, and ate our treats. Moo is jello with milk. I didn't think I would like it much, but it was actually creamy and tasty! We were part of a friendship card exchange with classes in the United States. We should be receiving some letters soon! Take Care Everyone! Love AlleyCat

Hey, Alley cat, did you know that our grade 6 students, where I, Patch, go to school in Australia, also made Valentine's Day cards to send to other countries. We have 10 back so far. It was exciting opening all the cards and seeing what countries they came from. I would love the moo, I am sure, as milk is my favourite drink.

My name is Mrs C. My class in Brisbane, Australia made valentine's day creatures out of love hearts.
What a great idea to send the cards to other countries. Maybe we can try that next year?

Hi Mrs. C. and friends,
It is wonderful to hear from a class so far away from Canada! We have been learning about our 5 senses and had a scientist come to our class with some awesome centres that we played at. She even brought a salmon head that I would have LOVED to eat....but the children had to see how the gills of the fish allowed him to take oxygen from water. What are you learning about? From Alleycat in Canada
